WIDE RANGE OF CLEANING AGENTS, CLEANING TOOLS, AND CHEMICALS FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS
An important procedure for achieving high quality optical coatings is surface cleaning. Surfaces to be coated must be free of contamination in the form of condensed volatile components and organic materials, to the level less than one monolayer (~1 nm), and also should be free of residuals from the polishing process. Variations of cleaning agents, materials and procedures have been developed for different glass and polymer compositions.
